Queensland Government Is Accepting Applications For Small Business Grants

The Queensland Government has announced new small business grants that are open for application in the coming months. The Alternative Board facilitators can help with grant applications and proposals, so get in touch if you feel you need assistance. 

The Alternative Board facilitators can also provide  guidance on how to where to invest the money once you’ve received the grant, ensuring you’re making the right decisions for your business.

There are multiple different grants available to support small businesses develop and improve their productivity. Here are the three key grants that will help SMEs. Their open dates vary so make sure you check the information specific to your grant.

Business Growth Fund

The Business Growth Fund is designed to help evolving and fast-growing SMEs. This will be grants up to $50,000 for businesses to buy specialised equipment to aid with business growth and development.

Applications open May 11, 2021 – get in touch with your local TAB Facilitator to hear more and how you can improve your application.

Business Basics 

Following this will be the Business Basics grant which will grant funding of up to $5,000 to new small businesses. This money is allocated to help new and emerging businesses in increasing their core capabilities and adopting best current practice.

Applications for the Business Basics grant will open on May 31, 2021. Guidelines will be available on May 17, 2021.

Business Boost 

The final grant is the Business Boost, which will help support established smaller businesses with up to $15,000 to upgrade software and CRM systems, to improve productivity.

This grant will be applicable for website development and upgrades, training and coaching, advisory services, marketing and business continuity.

Guidelines for this grant will be available in mid-July 2021, with applications open in late July. 2021.
